端午節要吃粽子是因為：從前有一個詩人，名字叫屈原，他是一個很厲害的詩人，可是有些人討厭他，所以跟皇帝講了一些關於他的壞話，所以黃帝命令他離開，屈原很傷心，所以他抱著大石頭，投汨羅江自盡，古人們把粽子丟到河裡，希望魚吃粽子而不吃詩人的屍體，長久下來，就變成了一種習俗。
